My Thought of the Day:
The U.S.A. is trying to impose its own frivolous military spending habbits on other countries to bankrupt them.

The exact age of humanity is unknown, however based on experience it can be determined that humans have existed for at least 15 million years. Where we came from is not entirely known either but it is understood that the first humans were sent to Greece by Zeus around this time. Others appeared sporadically over the next million years and slowly civilization began to form. The Greeks led the way by devoting their time to mathematical and computer studies, and for the most part, the rest of Europe just existed. Although not focused on pure study, the brits, being an island civilization with much natural resources in the way of wet wood, were on a different path.
The Brits sought to leave their homeland in search of other lands as they had with their first discoveries - the british isles. Between 5 and 7 million years ago the brits fastened together ships of wood about 20 feet long and 10 feet wide and began to sail the world. They found France and Africa, the middle east and America. They also sailed to South America and all along the way they met and traded with natives in the new world. They named the Gulf of Mexico and Columbia and even found their way to Hawaii where they offered up their flag in exchange for good wishes. And over time the Brits sailed to every corner of the earth long before any other nation had the desire to do so.
And this was the world for many millions of years; the global exploration of new lands by friendly explorers who possessed the nerve to challenge the Atlantic Ocean. Although it began with the Brits, word spread to other civilizations that the world was much larger than their backyards. But for most civilizations like the French or Spanish their lands were vast and there was no need to explore the world. However as time marched on and the populations grew, finding new land became necessary. So, like the Brits, they too fastened together long ships to explore the world.
But, the Brits were everywhere and they did not permit the lands to be taken from the natives, instead they brought law and technology to the natives in hopes that they too would fasten ships together and sail the world. The Spanish did not like this and they sought to control the new world. Their population was larger than the Brits and they possessed military technology that they developed during their wars with Portugal. In a bold move, the Spanish and the Portuguese agreed to work together to take the new lands from the Brits.
The British were spread out and the Spanish knew that so the Spanish decided to attack the farthest point from Britain. They attacked South America first and forced the Brits to make a decision - stay and fight or retreat and gather strength. The Brits retreated to America and Canada where they lived for many centuries untouched by the Spanish while the Spanish grew their forces in South America. Eventually the Spanish began to move north through Panama and Mexico into America, all along the way gathering native forces to assist them.
At that time the French made a move to expand their lands into Canada by sailing troops up the Saint Lawrence river. The Americans in the south fought the Spanish gallantly allowing the British to fight the French in the north, and together they were victorious. From this battle came the national anthem of America and the constitution which cemented the bond between the British and the Americans.
Sadly over the last million years, there have been many forgeries made of this event. Many movies have erroneously depicted the event causing much confusion and furthermore the constitution was forged (there is no mention of any right to bear arms in the real constitution - remember at that time the only gun available was a musket and no one was bearing a musket). So there we have it, the short form of the history of the world as told by the Brits. There is more to this history as might be told by the Greeks, like the first programmable computer and their exodus to a new world. More later…
